Government Public Schools Development

Rugby is about developing the child.

Rugby Union in our government schools is coordinated and run by the New South Wales Primary Schools Sports Association (NSW PSSA)

NSW Rugby Union is a sponsor of the NSW PSSA and works with them to support and grow Rugby within the government public school sector.

NSW PSSA conduct a number of competitions and carnivals across the state.

The best known of these is the Bryan Palmer Shield (a state wide knockout competition for public school teams under the age of 12 years) which had 72 schools compete in 2005.

There are a range of other competitions conducted on a local basis depending on where your school is located. To find out more – contact your local NSW PSSA representative or call NSW Rugby Union on 02 9323 3430.
