In 2008 Al Baxter became Australia’s most capped prop, surpassing Ewen McKenzie’s mark of 51 Test matches and in 2009 he surpassed Matt Dunning to become the first NSW prop to achieve 100 state caps. Remarkably, Baxter is still awaiting his first try for his home state. A cornerstone of the Waratahs pack since coming to prominence during 2002, Baxter has played in two World Cups after debuting in the lead up to the 2003 tournament.
