After strong trial form, Locky McCaffrey was the bolter on the HSBC Waratahs squad for the South African leg of their Super 14 campaign. After twice being named on the bench, McCaffrey finally made his debut against the Cheetahs in round eight and not long after signed an upgraded Super Rugby contract after starting the season as a member of the professional Academy.
