Sam Norton-Knight spent the opening half of the 2008 Super 14 on the sidelines but finished the season by making the fullback position his own and going on to represent Australia A. He is equally adept at flyhalf, the position he made his Test debut in during 2007, and finished the 2008 Super 14 Final in that role.
Born in Canberra on 2 December 1983 and raised at Harden in south-western NSW, Norton-Knight completed his schooling at All Saints Anglican College on the Gold Coast. After a break from Rugby post-graduation Norton-Knight moved to Canberra to commence University studies and soon made his state debut for the ACT against Fiji in the lead up to the 2003 Rugby World Cup. He made his Super Rugby debut in 2005 for the Brumbies and joined the Waratahs in 2006.
