Warringah's Cameron Treloar has been awarded the vice-captaincy for the HSBC Waratahs third match on their tour of Argentina against Cordoba on Saturday morning Sydney time.
The side will be led Lachlan MacKay and the last of the uncapped players, Will Brame, will make his state debut.
Brame missed the opening matches due to a back complaint but is now cleared to play out the tour.
Caldwell's recovery from a badly dislocated thumb he sustained in yesterday's match against Tucuman has stunned the Waratah coaching and medical staff.
"It's a sign of character that Will can back up less than 48 hours after suffering a pretty painful injury midway through the first half," said head coach Ewen McKenzie.
