Warringah went on a scoring spree to secure their place in the top six in Round 14 of the Tooheys New Shute Shield, but not all other favourites finished on top.

Manly pulled off the upset of the round to hand Randwick back-to-back defeats, while Eastwood went down to a rampant Easts outfit.
Sydney University and Gordon maintained their position at the top of the competition, while West Harbour joined Randwick in third courtesy of their bonus point victory.
