Beecroft and Mosman will face off in their third Grand Final in as many years when the NSWRU Under 85 kilogram competition decider is played out on Tuesday 22 July.

The clash will settle one of the tightest battles in NSW Rugby, with the two teams going toe-to-toe since the competition was introduced in 2006.

Beecroft came out on top in the inaugural Grand Final, however Mosman turned the tables in 2007 to win the title.

The Whales will be up against it to retain the title this year with Beecroft's progression to the decider one of pure dominance.

Beecroft has gone through the nine-match regular season undefeated, conceding just one try during their campaign.

While Mosman finished the season with just one loss and easily accounted for Knox Old Boys in this week's semifinal, they have a tough task ahead of them against a side which has averaged almost 30 points per game.

"This year the competition was split into two pools enabling clubs to play on Tuesday or Wednesday nights," said NSW Suburban Rugby Executive Director, Mark Green. "Beecroft topped the Tuesday pool, Mosman topped the Wednesday pool so there's no doubt we have the best two teams vying for the title on Tuesday.

"Each side has a NSW Trim Tahs representative in Beecroft flanker Dean Berkhout and Mosman lock Paul van der Westhuizen, which is a sign of the talent we have in this competition," added Green.

All players must take part in a pre-match weigh-in before the Grand Final of the mid-week competition takes place this Tuesday at Headen Park in Thornleigh - 7:30pm kick-off.
