Penrith Rugby Club, known as the Emus, were established in 1968 and played for many years in the Sydney Sub District competitions. After playing for several years in 2nd Division of Sydney Premiership they were then promoted to 1st division in 1995.
Penrith currently field four senior and three colts teams.
