Since the arrival of Volvo Car Australia as new sleeve sponsor at the start of the season, 2012 has so far seen Waratahs Rugby welcome a further 11 new partners on board including Clearview, Body Science, Ricoh, Tulla, Aquila and Vili’s.
Earlier this month, ClearView became the latest addition to the Rugby family, signing a new deal with Waratahs Rugby and the New South Wales Rugby Union and will offer a range of life insurance options to members. ClearView is one of five new partners to extend its support to grass roots Rugby, with the agreement benefitting the game at all levels from the HSBC Waratahs right through to the Premiership, Subbies and Junior Rugby.

Alsoteaming up withWaratahs Rugby for the first time in 2012 was Ricoh Australia Pty Ltd. “The Waratahs have a prominent and long-standing history within the community and Ricoh is proud to have joined the team as Official Partner of Waratahs Rugby,” said Ricoh Australia's Managing Director, Les Richardson of the relationship that begun earlier this season.
“This partnership is an expansion of Ricoh’s local support and is beneficial for both parties. The Waratahs have a fleet of our latest products and technology and we look forward to continuing our support while adding value and expertise to the organisation’s operations.”
In addition to their long-standing status as nutrition partner, the addition in 2012 of Body Science’s compression garments further cemented the organisation’s relationship with Waratahs Rugby and NSW Rugby Union and extends further benefits to the game at all levels.
As well as welcoming a host of new names, Waratahs Rugby CEO Jason Allen today confirmed that Canterbury and IBM have become the latest partners to renew their support of the HSBC Waratahs, putting the retention rate of 2011 partners above 90%.
Commenting on Canterbury’s further three-year, six-figure deal as official apparel provider to the HSBC Waratahs and NSW RefereesAssociation, Allen said, “Canterbury has been a long-standing partner of Rugby in NSW and we are very pleased to have them on our team for another three years.”

In 2011, Waratahs Rugby contributed $1,175,000 to the community game. “This year has not been without its challenges and the continued support of all our partners is vital in ensuring the game’s on- and off- field success, from the FxPro Super Rugby to the Shute Shield and every level throughout the grass roots game,” finished Mr Allen.
