Tonight’s John Eales Medal is shaping as the most open contest in the award's history, with up to 10 players seemingly in contention for Australian rugby's highest individual honour, according to Fox Sports statistics.
The Medal is judged by the players themselves, with each Wallaby awarding points on a 3-2-1 basis after every match. With no single player dominating the stats in Wallaby Tests over the past 12 months - including the Rugby World Cup – tonight’s result is hard to predict.

HSBC Waratahs and Wallabies ever-present Adam Ashley-Cooper is likely to be in contention, whilst his NSW team mate Berrick Barnes had a great season in the gold Jersey and would have to be up there in the polling. Star rookie and NSW new recruit Michael Hooper could be an outside bet for the main award and looks sure to be a front runner to collect the Rookie of the Year award, to add to the U20s title he picked up last year.
Catch the John Eales Medal ceremony live and exclusive tonight at 8.30pm (EDT) on Fox Sports 1 and Fox Sports 1 HD.
