The Junior Gold Cup (JGC) kicks off this weekend and for NSW players the chance of competing against the Queensland Reds in a NSW combined team looms as a major carrot for those who make their mark in the month-long tournament.
The NSW Waratahs have gone down by 17-12 in their second pre-season trial match for 2016, after the Chiefs scored a last minute try on the final siren in New Zealand this afternoon.
Newly signed in 2015, former Auckland Blues prop, Angus Ta’avao has already made his mark on the Waratahs’ this year after just one match.
