After being edged out of the top six yesterday, Gordon have leapfrogged back into playoff position with a 32-23 victory over Manly at Chatswood Oval.

The Marlins jumped out to a 20-13 lead at the break, however the Highlanders hit back hard in the second half, scoring a bonus point win to grab a share of fifth place.

Adam D'Arcy scored all 23 points for Manly, however it was not enough to keep Gordon at bay as they came home with three second half tries to nil.

The Marlins remain in second position despite the loss with Randwick still to play Eastwood next week in a match which will conclude round 20.

The result however ends West Harbour's finals hopes, with the Pirates ten points outside the top six with just two matches remaining.

Gordon 32 (Craig Thomas, Matt McDougall, Siketi Vunipola, Terry Preston tries; Dave Harvey 3 cons, 2 pens) d Manly 23 (Adam D'Arcy 2 tries; Adam D'Arcy 3 pens, 2 cons) at Chatswood Oval. Referee: Steve Hardy. HT: Manly 20-13.
