The Colin Caird Shield is the NSW Premiership Rugby Union second grade competition.
Colin Caird played for the Wallaroos Club – one of the founding clubs in NSW – and represented NSW against Queensland and New Zealand in 1886 and Great Britain in 1888.
He was President of Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club from 1902 until his death in 1928.
The 2009 Colin Caird Shield was won by Eastern Suburbs who defeated Gordon 32-29 in the Grand Final.
