Head Coach Daryl Gibson has announced his NSW Waratahs team for round one of Super Rugby this Saturday night at Allianz Stadium.

Waratahs Rugby, together with NSW Rugby, are pleased to announce a landmark partnership with leading energy company AGL Energy (AGL) that will help drive support for community and club rugby in NSW. 

The NSW Waratahs have gone down to the Highlanders by 40 points to 35 in yet another tight-fought preseason trial in Queenstown, New Zealand this afternoon.

Head Coach Daryl Gibson and his coaching staff have made six changes to the team for the NSW Waratahs’ third and final pre-season trial against the Highlanders tomorrow in Queenstown.

The NSW Gen Blue U20s are set to compete in a new-look regular weekly U20s competition, together with all five Australian Super Rugby teams, in a bid to be crowned Super U20s Championship in 2016.

The Junior Gold Cup (JGC) kicks off this weekend and for NSW players the chance of competing against the Queensland Reds in a NSW combined team looms as a major carrot for those who make their mark in the month-long tournament. 

The NSW Waratahs have gone down by 17-12 in their second pre-season trial match for 2016, after the Chiefs scored a last minute try on the final siren in New Zealand this afternoon.

Newly signed in 2015, former Auckland Blues prop, Angus Ta’avao has already made his mark on the Waratahs’ this year after just one match.
