Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop

On Saturday night, four days before Anzac Day, the HSBC Waratahs will go up against the Melbourne Rebels to contest the Weary Dunlop Shield. It is the fourth time the teams will have played for the shield that was named in honour of Sir Edward ‘Weary’ Dunlop, who represented Australia and Victoria in rugby union and served as a medical officer in World War II.

Elsom set for a return to action

Rocky Elsom looks set to make his first NSW appearance since 2008 when the HSBC Waratahs take on the Melbourne Rebels this Saturday at the Allianz Stadium (7.40pm).
