A second NRC local derby will take place this Sunday between the Sydney Rays and Greater Sydney Rams in a big day of rugby that will see the AON Women’s 7s, U15’s Junior Gold Cup and the NRC all come together at Macquarie University.

First cab off the rank and running a majority of the day is Day One of Round Two of the AON Women’s Uni 7s Series on Saturday, September 9th, followed by U15’s Junior Gold Cup fixtures between Sydney Rays versus South Australia and NSW Country Eagles versus ACT.

Sunday’s festivities will continue much the same, with Day Two of the AON Women’s 7s Series followed by NSW Country versus South Australia in the U15’s Junior Gold Cup.

To cap it all off? Sydney Rays versus the Greater Sydney Rams in the second NSW local derby for 2017.

The Rays, in their first match of the season, will come up against a confident Rams side who last week toppled last year’s grand finalists and fellow statesmen, the NSW Country Eagles in thrilling fashion.

NSW Waratahs flyhalf Mack Mason was instrumental in the Rams’ round one victory and will no doubt be a gamebreaker at this next local derby.

Tickets to Saturday, 9th September fixtures are FREE and on Sunday for Day Two of the Sevens, Junior Gold Cup and NRC matches will cost you $20, unless you are a student or U18 in which case it’s FREE.

Heading down to Macquarie University? Keep an eye out for the NSW Rugby Daikin Cooldown Tent set up at the Northern end of the field which features with, giant Jenga, bean bags, colouring in and more!
